About

Arising from a lack of proper, safe facilities for regular heavyweight robot battles, we decided to build our own strong, safe arena in which to test robots, give demonstrations and hold public live events, with some turning into all out combat to win the prize money and trophies.

We designed, built and first used the arena in 2002 and from the experiences gained from holding many small and large events at a variety of venues, we now have the right arena facilities for providing exciting live robot shows, including close-up views of all the "mayhem, destruction, devastation, and carnage" ......and all in complete safety.

We also have the most capable and experienced crew of any live events organisation, for our skilled team includes professionals in engineering, electronics, steel fabrication, electrical installation, catering, transport, accounts, health & safety, and web design - enabling our Roaming Robots Crew to be professional and proficient at running either our own major events or overseeing client live events in any part of the country or abroad.

At every event we aim to provide the audience with as many interesting experiences as possible, so, in addition to all the sights, sounds and pyrotechnics of the robot battles, there are arena hazards, league contests, prize competitions, obstacle courses, Pay-to-Drive robots and demonstrations by famous robots in Heavyweight, Featherweight and Antweight categories.

Our goal is to add to the interest of the annual television robot competitions and static show exhibitions by enabling everyone to meet all the champion robots and famous roboteer teams by taking the live action to as many people as possible in all parts of the UK and abroad.

The current list of our planned events, together with reports and images of our previous events are found in the events section.

Because we encourage roboteers of all ages, we have school classes, hobby clubs, students and scout groups who build their own robots and are becoming a potent force in the fights.
It is easy to see why building robots is a fun way of gaining education in many disciplines - design, art, technical drawing, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, general engineering and of course, "team building".
